Over time, we have fielded many questions about Flying Curves, and the programs we offer. So, we figured we would share those frequently asked questions on our site, to help you get better acquainted with our studio. Of course you may have additional questions. If so, feel free to contact us.
Do I need dance experience to take a class?
Not at all. Christina will help you tap into the dancer that is within. Go ahead, trust yourself, and let the program show you that dancer exists!
Which class should I take first?
If you are interested in taking Pole, we recommend that you take our Pole Dancing Movement Classes. There are no prerequisites classes you need to take. So, if you wish to take Pole-ography, Goddess In Motion, or Floor Flow, you may do so, at your leisure, when you wish.
Will I be able to do this if I have never taken a dance or pole dance class before?
Yes! We will work at a pace that is comfortable for you, to ensure your enjoyment of the programs we offer. And No, you do not need to have strong arm muscles as a prerequisite, in order to take this class. You will see your physical transformation take place, as you progress with the class.
What should I wear?
Workout clothes – for example yoga pants or shorts, a sports bra, tee-shirt, or tank top. No shoes are needed for warming up or learning pole tricks. Feel free to bring in any shoes or clothing you’d like to dance in at the end of class!
What should I wear for Burlesque Class?
You can either wear comfortable workout clothes, or if you are ready for more – Fishnets, Shoes, Shorts, Top of your choice, (Tee or Corset).
What can I expect in a Pole Dance Movement in class?
Every class will begin with a warm up to get your body ready. The warm up is Pilates and Yoga based with many stretching and exotic dance moves thrown in. Once we are warm, we will move to the poles. Based on your current level, we will work on learning and perfecting pole tricks and combinations, as well as how to transition smoothly between tricks. Finally, we will put everything we’ve learned together in a choreographed or freestyle dance. Props, themes, and exercises to explore/enhance your movements can be expected!
What can I expect in a Sweat Sexy Burlesque Zoom class?

How do you suggest I watch the Zoom Classes?
On a computer, Laptop, or Apple TV. We do recommend using external speaker(s).
How long are the Zoom Online classes?
Typically, these programs will last for 1 hour.
How long are the In Studio/Zoom Online Pole Dance Movement classes?
Typically, these programs will last 1 hour and 15 minutes.
